Angelica Bourbon teaches violin and piano. Ms. Bourbon comes to Allegro School of Music from New Mexico, where she received her Bachelor of Music Education from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. At Allegro, she is a self-directed, enthusiastic music educator with a passionate commitment to student development.
Her teaching experience includes ten years of private violin lessons, middle school orchestra teacher and high school Music Director. During her three years at Hatch Valley High School in Las Cruces, she taught marching band, jazz band, choir, guitar and piano. Along with her teaching duties at Allegro, she sings and plays violin at many local shows in the Buda area.
Terry Capps, founder and former owner of Allegro School of Music and Dance, is a graduate from the University of Missouri with a BA in Mathematics and an MS from Vanderbilt University in Human Development Counseling. He is a retired Air Force and Continental pilot and serves as Chairman of the Board for the Buda Chamber of Commerce and as a board member for the Buda Economic Development Council. He also serves on the board for the Friends of the Fine Arts for Texas State University.
Although Terry quit taking piano lessons at age 10, he continued while a college senior (it's never too late!) and has kept playing ever since. Terry teaches piano, music theory, and general musicianship classes for Allegro and plays Chuck's Deli in Manchaca on Fridays at noon.
Todd Deatherage grew up in Dallas, Texas and started classical guitar training at age 12. He was accepted into the Booker T. Washington High School for Performing Arts, a magnet school for advanced music students, and played in various jazz combos for three years.
After high school, Todd toured with several country/blues bands throughout the region and recorded several CDs. Catching the eye of record producers, he moved to NYC in 2001 to pursue his recording career. His work resulted in United Kingdom record deals, vocal work for television commercials (think Cheerios) and one of his original compositions was featured in the television production of Veronica Mars.

Jonathan Jamison is the owner of Allegro and teaches piano and saxophone. He has a BA in Music and studied to be a band director at the University of Nebraska. He taught elementary school music for AISD for 4 years and now plays full time with The Derailers. His wife, Gina Lee, is also a musician and they are proud parents of a set of twins.
Thomas Mann has over 30 years of experience with piano, 18 with guitar, and 8 years with tuba and electric bass. Thomas comes to Austin from Atlanta where he taught under Russian Headmaster, Angzela Oyzboyd. At school there, he oversaw the jazz and guitar departments and provided lessons for the public and private school satellite programs. He has performed locally and toured nationally with various bands and has produced his own CD of original jazz compositions. Thomas runs our summer rock camp and is well loved by his students.
Ronald W. Munn studied piano and violin at St. John School in Ennis TX, and has performed as a section violinist with the University of Texas Chamber Ochestra in Austin under the baton of Dr. William Raber (LTC. US Air Force, Retired). He has nine published works, is a member of ASCAP, and a member of the American Federation of Musicians. He is owner of Full Sound Publishing Company and SchatzSteph Records.
As a teacher and musician, he adheres to the instructional methods of such schools as Eastman School of Music, Julliard, and the Royal Conservatory of Music of whose methods he finds very practical. Ronald looks forward to working with each student, helping open the door to the many opportunites they may seek through being an accomplished violinist.
Marjorie Osborne studied piano for 20 years and has performed solo all over the United States, winning competitions on regional and national levels. She participated in a piano quartet with violin, viola and cello through the Levine School of Music in Washington D.C. and played many great chamber works at that time.
She attended Indiana University majoring in piano performance and studio art. Marjorie has several years of piano teaching experience and has worked with children most of her life. She is also an accomplished cellist and currently plays and sings 1920s and 30s songs in Texas and the United States in the musical group "Teddy and Marge".
Derek Tarnow teaches guitar and piano. He grew up in Temple, Texas and started taking piano lessons when he was eight years old. He played classically for five years, continued into saxophone and clarinet in middle school, and then studied guitar as a young teenager. At Temple High School, he distinguished himself as a visual artist and sculptor, winning various local awards for his artwork. Derek also attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and played jazz guitar in several region jazz bands.
After high school, he attended Temple Community College where he continued his music studies and participated in the College Jazz Band. Swayed by Professor Freddie Mendoza’s jazz program at Texas State, he entered their jazz program in 2007 as a junior. Derek’s favorite hobby is cooking and specializes in Italian and Asian/Thai foods. You can hear his jazz duet at the Root Cellar in San Marcos every Friday.
